| For over two decades, Dr. Orrison
and Michael Glinski have collaborated on a series of projects that
explore imaging and health care. In addition to the projects featured
in this web site, this pair has taken on issues radiation safety, surveys of
imaging center quality, utilization analysis, spurious hypocalcemia with MRI
contrast agents, CME education, lectures, recordings, and on-line physician
education for radiologists, family practitioners, pediatricians, orthopods,

Michael Glinski has over thirty years
of experience in health care sales, marketing and management. As an account
executive with Toshiba America Medical Systems, he placed over $50M worth of
MRI, CT, cardiac catheterization labs and other imaging modalities. As a
product marketing manager and sales manager, he worked closely with
engineering and sales teams to develop, market, and sell open MRI systems.
Mr. Glinski develops detailed business models to analyze the operations and
profitability of health care delivery systems.

Mr. Glinski is an
author or the ACCME-accredited diagnostic imaging reference text Medical
Imaging Consultant, now in its third edition. He is the associate editor of
a web delivered proficiency program for physicians who order imaging tests,
and has produced numerous PRA category 1 accredited clinical education
programs for radiologists and ordering physicians.
Michael’s work includes
co-authoring and producing education for the health care consumer on the
subject of informed participation in weighing the benefits and risks of
diagnostic imaging exams. Mr. Glinski conceived and guided the development
of an on-line, self-scoring assessment program for diagnostic imaging
providers, addressing quality capability based on evaluation of personnel,
equipment, and policy.
